Rain
Clashes of thunder rumbled through the humid air as sheets of rain bounced off the saturated ground. It had been raining for days and from the looks of it did not intend to stop anytime soon.
Standing outside the airport the young brunette waited impatiently for her ride that should have awaited her upon arrival. She stood tall at five foot eleven inches and had mesmerizing ocean blue eyes. A huge diamond graced her left ring finger shimmering every time she took a long draw off her cigarette.
"What took you so long?" she interrogated as a young man exited the black SUV to help her with her luggage.
"I was tryin' to make everything perfect for my baby." He explained taking the cigarette from her lips and throwing it on the ground. She rolled her eyes exhaling the grayish smoke from her lungs.
"Spare me your bullshit lines and tell me the truth. Did you fuck her one last time before I came home? Did you have to drop her off somewhere that way you could pick me up?"
"What the hell's wrong with you? I haven't seen you in weeks and your already bitching at me. Why can't I just get a kiss and a hug from you for once? Instead you just come off talking all this shit that I have no clue about!" he defended. She mumbled a few words before getting into the vehicle, slamming the door, and lighting another cigarette which was pulled from her mouth moments later by masculine hands.
"Would you stop doing that shit!"
"I'm just trying to keep you alive longer. You know I don't like it when you smoke baby."
"Yeah and you know I don't like it when you fuck other girls either but that doesn't stop you." Taking another cigarette from her purse lighting it and blowing a puff of smoke in his direction she continued. "I've heard about all your shit Justin. The next time you fuck a girl you might wanna keep them in check."
"What the hell are you talking about? I've been in the studio the whole time you've been gone doing whatever the hell it is you do an-"
"I'm a writer Justin. I write books. Do you know what happens after you write a book? You have to promote it and that's what the hell I've been doing."
"See this is why our relationship is never gonna work. You never let me get a fucking word in! I'm sick of this shit. I'm sick of your shit!"
"My shit? My Shit?! I cannot believe your blaming this on me. I'm not the one causing the problems here. I'm little miss faithful and your little mister playboy. You're the one out screwing everything that walks Justin. I thought when you gave me this ring that you gave me your heart and that you would stop all that shit but what in the hell was I thinking? You thought 'hell I can have the cake and eat it too.' Well ya know what baby. You just ate the last piece."
"Am I supposed to be threatened by this? Are you saying that you're leaving me?" he smirked as he pulled into the driveway of his million-dollar compound.
The young woman did not speak another word until the SUV came to a complete stop inside the garage. She slung open the door and exited the car throwing the diamond ring back into the beige leather seat.
"Damn right I'm leaving you. Have a nice fucking life Justin Timberlake! And I hope to God that one day someone causes you as much pain as you've caused me! All I ever did was love you and all you did was fuck me over in return!" Her five foot eleven inch frame walked out of his garage and out of his life into the rain.
Some storms are worse than others leaving damage that cannot be repaired, while others blow over with ease, but no matter what in the end its just Rain.
The End
