Soft light seeped through sheer curtains and reflected off plain white walls. A sterile smell danced at the brunette's nose, as she became aware of her surroundings. She yawned loudly while removing the sleep from her eyes. Last night was the first full night of sleep she had received in years.

Ruffling the stiff white covers she closed her eyes once more and smiled at the quietness. When she lazily opened them moments later, her brown orbs landed on a dozen red roses surrounded by teddy bears and fan mail. Slowly she stood to her feet to inspect the gifts, taking the card from the roses first.

"Sorry I couldn't be there with you baby. Business calls. I have to go to New York for promotion. Love Forever, Justin"

Serrica scanned the decorated paper a few more times, before the stinging of tears pricked at the backs of her eyes. Justin was the only person she loved. Why did he not love her back? Why was business always more important that her well being?

Anger engulfed her heart pumping hatred through her veins. She picked up the expensive looking crystal vase, examined it, and launched it at the wall. Moments later a nurse came running into Serrica's room. Serrica was sitting in the floor with her head in her hands sobbing silently.

"Are you okay Ms. Green?" the older woman questioned slipping farther into the room. Serrica glanced up quickly.

"Do I look okay to you? I'm in a fucking mental institution!"

The nurse just gawked at her beauty. Even in her worst state, the young woman in front of her was absolutely breathtaking.

"I understand Ms. Green," the nurse offered some sympathy," I deal with this all the time."

"Yeah, but do you know how it feels to be on the other side? Do you know how it feels to lie to millions of people everyday or to be sold like some sort of limited edition Barbie Doll?" Serrica closed her eyes banging her head against the wall with a thud, "to have a family that doesn't give a shit about you unless they need money."

"Um... I really shouldn't be talking to you about this situation you're going through but--"

"Don't bother. I don't wanna hear it," Serrica spoke in a cold mono-toned voice. "I just wanna be alone."

The nurse was taken back by the young celebrities rudeness but it was her job to make Ms. Green as comfortable as possible.

"Well, I'm sorry I interrupted. I'll have someone come clean up that mess. If you need anything just yell."

"Actually I'm kinda hungry. Can you get me a coke and some chips?"

"I'll see what I can do," the nurse smiled as she back out of the room.

Serrica spent the rest of the day reading letters from her fans. Every now and then she would turn on the television but its kind of hard to watch 'Me TV' as she and Justin call it. Every entertainment show and news channel was reporting on her rehabilitation.
